About us at lake view lodges we (Mark and Stacy) came up with the idea of glamping. When we bought the barn and 6 acres off the farmer in 2016.
Whilst turning the barn into our family home, we researched into glamping, With the idea of a log cabin we joined lots of Canadian websites specific for log cabin designs.
We wanted to build and bring something unique to our small part of Suffolk and the Stour Valley, so after getting planning for 4 no cabins we set about building our first lodge that had all home comforts.
We started out calling ourselves 'Be Glamping' after our children Bo and Eli. But so many guests said that we are far more than glamping, so we have changed the name after a very busy first year with one lodge.
Now we have two lodges we have decided to change the name to 'Lake View Lodges'.
The first lodge took us a year to build because we wanted to get it right, which we feel we have achieved. The lodges are unique to this country as they hand built on site by Mark and his team specific to his plans.
Mark is a builder and Stacy has her own cleaning business, so working together we feel we have got it right.
With great reviews all round emphasising on the peace and tranquility of the retreat, we are now concentrating on building the next two lodges, we feel it is just a beautiful place to stay.
